Welsh-born Australian Rhydian Lewis has been captivating audiences since the age of 11 through song and dance. His remarkable career has taken him from iconic UK venues including The Cavern Club in Liverpool and the Bournemouth International Centre, to international performances at the Guangzhou International Sports Arena in China. For more than 12 years he has entertained audiences throughout Queensland and the Mid North Coast of New South Wales, including a prestigious summer residency at Palazzo Versace on the Gold Coast.
Today, Rhydian continues to delight audiences with his residency at The Vault in Broadbeach, where he performs alongside Australia’s Got Talent vocalist David De Vito. In Rocker vs Crooner, Rhydian brings the sophistication, humour and timeless songs of the great crooners into the ring, determined to show that smooth style can be just as powerful as rock ‘n’ roll. When the final bell rings… only the audience can decide who takes home the musical title belt.
The Red Corner – Tommy Memphis
Representing the raw energy and spirit of rock ‘n’ roll, Tommy Memphis steps into the Red Corner ready to prove that no music ignites an audience quite like the songs of Elvis Presley and the legends who changed music forever. Bringing boundless energy, humour and a passion for live performance, Tommy goes toe-to-toe with Rhydian Lewis in the ultimate musical heavyweight showdown.
Tommy began his professional career as an Elvis tribute artist, honouring the music of the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll. As his career evolved, so did his own unique style, branching out to celebrate the greatest names in rock ‘n’ roll, including Chuck Berry, Buddy Holly, Roy Orbison and many more. His versatility and natural connection with audiences have become the hallmark of a career spanning more than two decades.
Tommy has performed five consecutive summer seasons in Ibiza before returning to Australia to tour nationally with legendary acts including The Platters, Gary Puckett & The Union Gap, and the acclaimed Las Vegas production Oh What A Night, performing at premier venues including The Palms at Crown Casino. He has also headlined major events such as the Coffs Harbour Christmas Carols, winning over audiences with his warmth, charisma and ability to have every generation singing along.

The Referee – George Harvey
Every great title fight needs a referee… and in Rocker vs Crooner, there’s only one man qualified for the job.
George Harvey steps into the ring as the Master of Ceremonies, referee and commentator, keeping the peace between Tommy Memphis in the Red Corner and Rhydian Lewis in the Blue Corner. With quick wit, impeccable timing and a few knockout performances of his own, George keeps the action moving while making sure the battle between rock ‘n’ roll and the crooners stays just the right side of chaos.
Show business isn’t just something George Harvey does—it’s who he is. From an early age, his extraordinary voice and larger-than-life personality were impossible to ignore, becoming the Australian-wide Marist Brothers Colleges Solo Vocal Champion for an incredible six consecutive years. His love of the stage saw him star in productions of The King and I, Camelot and The Sound of Music before launching a professional career that showcased his incredible versatility. One night he was dressed in black leather performing the music of Elvis Presley, the next he was in a tuxedo singing the timeless songs of Frank Sinatra—making him uniquely qualified to understand both sides of this musical rivalry.
In 1981, while performing at St George Leagues Club in Sydney, George introduced himself to Australia’s legendary vocal group The Four Kinsmen. When a position became available, they didn’t have to look far. George joined the group, beginning an extraordinary career that took him around Australia and the world, including starring in their own showroom spectacular on the famous Las Vegas Strip.
Now, George brings decades of world-class entertainment, comedy and experience to Rocker vs Crooner. Whether he’s calling the action, settling the score, delivering a classic song of his own or trying to keep two musical heavyweights from stealing the show, George Harvey is the man in the middle—and when the final bell rings, he’ll be there to raise the hand of the audience’s champion.
